Originally from Portsmouth, I moved to the Isle Of Wight in 1984 where I now live with my wife and 3 children.

Coming from a football/running background, with a long period of inactivity in between, I was quite a late starter in cycling and didn't start racing until 1999.

Mostly riding local time trial events, I've also had some degree of local success mountainbiking, and the opportunity of riding in both disciplines with some of the islands top riders, has over the years enabled me to improve my performance considerably.

Being relatively new to cycle racing, I still have a great enthusiasm for the sport and hope to continue to improve on my achievements in the coming future.

Regularly competing in the annual Vectis 3 day time trial festival, my best result in that competition was in 2004, finishing 8th overall from 50 riders.

Winner - Wight-Max master category 6 hour mountain bike enduro 2000

Winner - Vectis mountain bike/cyclo cross winter series 2001

3rd - 14 hills killer mountain bike challenge 2002
